We are pleased to invite you to the private preview of the exhibition Dreamland – Yallah – Bladi by Mounir Raji on Thursday, April 17, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Museum Hilversum. The public opening will follow at 6:00 PM.
Dreamland – Yallah – Bladi
In this exhibition, Dutch-Moroccan photographer Mounir Raji takes you on a journey to Morocco. He shares what fascinates him about the landscape, the people, and the colors. His photographs evoke memories of distant family, the burning sun on your face, and endless days playing outside.
Mounir poses questions about the impact of climate change, migration, absence, and the nature of diaspora identity—what it is and what form it takes.
Commissioned by Museum Hilversum, Mounir Raji is creating new work specifically for this exhibition, which will continue to evolve beyond the show. In the Bladi series, he takes you to the part of Morocco where his own family roots lie, capturing the effects of climate change.
A must-see for photography lovers and those drawn to stories of migration and identity. Let yourself be carried away by Mounir Raji’s visual language and discover how memory and reality converge in his powerful work.
